Looksmaxxing influencer Clavicular is speaking out hours after he apparently suffered an overdose during a livestream.
“Just got home, that was brutal,” the internet star shared via X on Wednesday, April 15. “All of the substances are just a cope trying to feel neurotypical while being in public, but obviously that isn’t a real solution.”
He added, “The worst part of tonight was my face descending from the life support mask.”
Clavicular, real name Braden Peters, shared a selfie alongside his post. Blood could be seen on his face in the image.

Us Weekly confirmed in the late hours of Tuesday, April 14, that Clavicular had “suffered a suspected overdose” during a livestream and had “since been hospitalized.”
While his stream was cut short on Tuesday, fans have since shared video clips from the incident. Clavicular was streaming alongside a group of friends when one asked, “How f***ed up are you?”
Clavicular responded that he was “shot,” but the video continued as one of his friends gave him a glass of water. Another clip appeared to show the internet star slipping out of consciousness as his head started to rest on a friend’s shoulder. The stream cut out just after.

Clavicular has become a controversial influencer after becoming the face of the looksmaxxing community, a group of men on the internet who “obsess over physical self-improvement in the hope that it’ll improve their dating odds,” per a GQ story published earlier this year. (He grew up in Hoboken, New Jersey, and attended Seton Hall Preparatory School in West Orange before becoming an internet star.)
He went viral for allegedly tapping his face with a hammer as a way to get chiseled cheekbones. Clavicular previously claimed that he took crystal meth to curb his appetite and injected himself with mail-order testosterone.
Ahead of Tuesday’s incident, Clavicular made headlines for walking out of a 60 Minutes interview.
“Do I identify as an incel?” Clavicular said during the interview. “I mean, how could you ask me that question as a follow-up after you asked me about my relationships to women? I mean, that’s quite literally the worst sequence of questions I think I’ve ever heard.”
Clavicular clarified that he was “not linked” to the incel community but rather uses looksmaxxing as a tool of “self-improvement.” When Clavicular was asked about his relationship to fellow influencer Andrew Tate, the conversation shifted.
“I see you want to make this political,” he said. “I could teach you about looksmaxxing, and then maybe you could switch that up. Thanks for the time, appreciate the interview.”
