A Maine prisoner who walked off a midcoast job site and never returned on Monday may be traveling with a New Hampshire woman, according to police.
The Maine Department of Corrections has a warrant for the arrest of Brian Day, 45, and Candice Fisher, 45, New Hampshire.
The department said the two are believed to be traveling in a maroon 2011 Nissan Altima.
Day was a resident of Bolduc Correctional Facility in Thomaston, serving a sentence of three and a half years for theft, forgery and other offenses. He had earned the right to work in the community, according to the Maine Department of Corrections.
On Monday he left his job site in Thomaston without permission.
The department is asking anyone with information about Day or Fisher or who believes they have seen them to call 911 and not to approach or engage with them.
