Gigi Hadid’s father, Mohamed Hadid, appeared to fall for AI-generated pictures purporting to show the model on the red carpet at the 2026 Met Gala.
Mohamed, 77, shared a collage of seemingly AI-generated images in an Instagram post on Monday, May 4, depicting Gigi, 31, in a white and gold gown at the annual fashion event, per screenshots shared on social media. It’s not clear where the images originated.
“She looks like she came out of a frame from the museum. A classic Hadid moment,” Mohamed captioned the post, which has since been deleted.
Mohamed shares daughters Gigi and Bella, 29, and son Anwar, 26, with ex-wife and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Yolanda Hadid. He is also dad to daughters Marielle, 45, and Alana, 40, whom he shares with first wife Mary Butler, and Aydan Nix, 23, who was born of a brief relationship Mohamed had with Terri Hatfield Dull after his marriage to Yolanda ended.

While the real estate developer was seemingly duped by AI, Gigi did indeed attend Monday’s Met Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
For fashion’s biggest night, Gigi wore a sheer black Miu Miu gown featuring crystals, patchwork flames and floral detailing.
“I love the Met [Gala] because I really feel like, with the themes, we get to do basically like … it’s our version of a high school art class with everyone we work with,” the supermodel said in a red carpet interview with Vogue. “You get an assignment and it’s different, because it’s not just to make a garment to sell, and I love that process.”
“I was excited by anything turned into costume. That’s what makes our heart pound in fashion,” she continued, adding that her look was inspired by previous Miu Miu collections from 1998 and 2011.

Gigi revealed that the entire dress was constructed on her body just two days before Monday’s fashion gala.
“We all sat in a hotel room two days ago, literally, and Scotch-taped the patches onto me in a way that felt celebratory,” she told Vogue. “It’s built on the body. The body is the canvas.”
While Gigi was certainly one of the night’s best dressed among critics and red carpet watchers, she thinks her daughter, Khai, 5, would also approve of her look.
“She loves anything that’s sparkly. She loves a dressup. And she loves a collage moment,” Gigi gushed over Khai, whom she shares with ex Zayn Malik. “Me and the Miu Miu team collaged this on to me. She’ll want the patches and she’ll want to place them.”
