A rehab and reconstruction project on Route 1 in Camden and Lincolnville is expected to cause delays on the coastal highway starting next week.
The project, which will span roughly 2 miles between the town centers, is slated to start on Monday, April 27.
Drivers can expect delays of up to 10 minutes, weekdays from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., according to the Maine Department of Transportation.
The project, which will include new hot mix asphalt, is expected to improve drainage and safety, and make the heavily traveled road safer and smoother, MDOT said.
Work is expected to be completed by July.
The contractor on the $9.4 million project is Ranger Construction of Fairfield. This project is partially funded by federal congressionally directed spending.
