Kelly Stafford had courtside seats for Game 2 of the NBA Playoffs between the Los Angeles Lakers and Houston Rockets — and she had no problem announcing her presence to the officiating crew.
During the second quarter of the first round playoff series on Tuesday, April 21, Kelly, 36, could be seen on the broadcast standing up and voicing her displeasure with a foul call against Lakers star Marcus Smart.
Kelly was then caught with her mouth agape behind Lakers coach JJ Redick while a replay of the foul was shown inside Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena.
Rocking a classic No. 8 Kobe Bryant jersey, Kelly attended the game with her husband, Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford. Despite Kelly’s foul grievances, the Lakers emerged victorious, 101-94, to take a 2-0 series lead. The series shifts to Houston for Game 3 on Friday, April 24.

Prior to the game, Kelly took to social media to reveal that Matthew, 38, surprised her with their courtside seats.
“Matthew and I haven’t been on a date night in quite some time and the other night he was like, ‘Hey, I got us tickets to the Lakers game,’” Kelly said in a video posted via her Instagram Story on Tuesday. “Obviously super excited. You guys know I love basketball. Basketball was one of my favorites growing up. I was like, ‘Heck yes, this is going to be so fun.’ Date night. So excited.”
Unfortunately for Kelly, that’s when things took a bit of a turn.
“I wake up with a stye that has now bruised my eye,” she said, while showing off the mark below her right eye.

Not to be deterred, Kelly revealed that she was recording the video from a Sephora parking lot before going inside to get some help.
“I’m going to see what they can do about this,” she said. “Because it doesn’t look great, you know what I mean?”
After leaving the store, Kelly recorded another video with an important stye update.
“Before everyone freaks out, obviously I am aware I can’t put anything on my eye,” she insisted. “But underneath I can, and look! So much better. OK, I feel better. Now I’m excited.”
Kelly Stafford Shares Embarrassing Video of Daughter on Last Day of Cotillion
While Matthew announced his return to the Rams in February, Kelly has been in the midst of a “new chapter” since revealing that her podcast, “The Morning After,” was going on indefinite hiatus in October 2025.
“I feel this pull to get back to my roots, and to do that, I have to pour into the people I love most,” Kelly shared via Instagram in November 2025. “I’ve got a husband in the middle of one hell of a season, and I want to be fully locked in with him. I want to be present for my girls. I want to give my whole heart to the people who have always given theirs to me.”
Kelly and Matthew share four daughters: twins Sawyer and Chandler, 9, Hunter, 7, and Tyler, 5.
“This isn’t a goodbye…it’s a see y’all later,’” Kelly added. “Thank you for letting me grow, change, fall apart, rebuild, and evolve right beside you. Thank you for loving me through all my versions.”
