Joe Rogan has voiced his support for Spencer Pratt’s mayoral campaign in Los Angeles.
“Listen, man, I’m voting for you,” Rogan, 58, told Pratt, 42, during the Wednesday, April 15, episode of his “Joe Rogan Experience” podcast.
Rogan, who left California for Texas in 2020, then clarified that he can’t actually vote for Pratt because he doesn’t live in the state anymore.
“But I’m rooting for you,” he added. “I mean, if I lived in Los Angeles, no question whatsoever, I would vote for you.”

After the podcast episode dropped, Pratt took to Facebook to share a photo with Rogan and write, “An honor being on with the GOAT, @joerogan. My goal is to make L.A. so awesome, we can win him back from Texas.”
Pratt announced his decision to run for mayor in L.A. in January.
“The system in Los Angeles isn’t struggling, it’s fundamentally broken,” the Hills alum said at the “They Let Us Burn” public demonstration. “It is a machine designed to protect the people at the top and the friends they exchange favors with while the rest of us drown in toxic smoke and ash. Business as usual is a death sentence for Los Angeles, and I’m done waiting for someone to take real action.”
Pratt continued, “That’s why I am running for mayor. And let me be clear, this just isn’t a campaign; this is a mission, and we’re gonna expose the system.”
Pratt announced his candidacy on the first anniversary of the Palisades Fire, which killed 12 people and burned more than 6,800 homes and businesses near Pacific Palisades, California, in January 2025. The reality star and his wife, Heidi Montag, as well as his parents, were among the people who lost their homes in the blaze.

During Wednesday’s podcast episode, Pratt opened up about what led to his decision to run for mayor.
“To be clear, I never wanted to run for any political office or have anything to do with politicians. What happened was, after spending a year uncovering how my house and my parents’ house burned down, and my neighbors burned alive, and 7,000 houses burned. Then I realized there’s a cover-up going on, all the negligence, and I keep posting about it, and I have all the facts, I have all the whistleblowers, I have all the evidence and business as usual,” he explained.
Pratt continued, “And I see that nobody is stepping up to run against [current L.A. Mayor Karen Bass], who’s responsible for this disaster and so many other disasters. So it became to the point where I got so sick of just being a yapper. I felt like I was just yapping, like making these videos, I’m telling the truth, I got a congressional investigation, I went to Washington, I met with everyone possible that I could do as just a citizen.”
