Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia has never shied away from sharing her candid thoughts throughout her career.

The former “BFFs” host generated no shortage of social media chatter with her messy breakup from country singer Zach Bryan, while her podcast feud with former cohost Grace O’Malley proved to be just as contentious. She has also sparked intense debate with her views on President Donald Trump and the weight-loss drug Ozempic, among numerous other hot-button topics.

“I think I am not the perfect victim in a lot of people’s eyes and I don’t think anyone is ever the perfect victim,” she said on the “Skinny Confidential” podcast in February 2026. “I’m a very outspoken, loud woman. I say it how it is. I don’t hold back.”

She went on, “I don’t try to fix myself in a box. If I don’t like you, I make it known. If I don’t like people doing something, I’m loud about it. I think people just don’t take that the right way or don’t like that, which is OK. … I think people use that against me.”

Brianna Chickenfry Says ‘Don’t Date Famous People’ in Pre-Recorded Podcast

Keep scrolling for some of LaPaglia’s most headline-making moments.

Brianna ‘Chickenfry’ LaPaglia and Zach Bryan’s Public Split

Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia was in a high-profile relationship with Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Zach Bryan between July 2023 and October 2024.

The fact that LaPaglia and Bryan were dating at all was contentious for their fans in the summer of 2023. Bryan had recently announced his separation from his girlfriend Deb Peifer, while LaPaglia was also fresh out of a relationship.

“It’s fun, it’s casual,” LaPaglia revealed on the “PlanBri Uncut” podcast at the time. “I just wanted to address it because the whole internet is freaking the f*** out and people are doing s***. And yeah, that’s really it. Just hanging out, having some fun.”

She continued, “For some reason, I thought I was never gonna have to say it. I thought it was gonna be, like, the one thing from the internet that I could keep a secret.”

LaPaglia offered clarity on the timeline of her relationship with Bryan. The podcast host confirmed that she was “still with [her] boyfriend” Joey when she and “BFFs” cohost Josh Richards joined Bryan on stage during a New York concert earlier in the year.

“A few days later, me and Joey break up. And [Zach] had already broken up with his girlfriend, and then he f***in’ slid into my DMs,” she said in August 2023. “I made a podcast after we went onstage and was like, ‘Eat the rich besides Zach Bryan,’ and he posted it and then he DMed me and said, ‘That was so sweet, thank you guys for coming.’ And then we just started chatting.”

It was seemingly smooth sailing for a while, as the couple announced in September 2023 that they were getting a dog together.

Fans started worrying that there might be trouble, however, when Bryan’s Raya dating profile circulated on social media in October 2024.

“Brianna and me have broken up with each other and I respect and love her with every ounce of my heart,” Bryan wrote via his Instagram Story that same month. “She has loved me unconditionally for a very long time and for that I’ll always thank her.”

The singer addressed the end of the relationship, saying, “I have had an incredibly hard year personally and struggled through some pretty severe things. I thought it would be beneficial for both of us to go our different ways. I am not perfect and never will be.”

“With everything I am and to anyone I let down, I am sorry. I try my best in everything. I failed people that love me and mostly myself,” he added.

LaPaglia accused Bryan of “blindsiding” her with the announcement. She later made bombshell allegations in November 2024 that she’d been “manipulated” and “isolated” during her time with Bryan.

“The last year of my life has been the hardest year of my life dealing with the abuse from this dude,” LaPaglia said on her “BFFs” podcast. “I’m still scared right now because I’m scared of him still. My brain’s rewired. I’m scared to make him mad.”

The podcaster acknowledged that she “kept showing up when I shouldn’t have” and “kept loving and giving when I shouldn’t have” in her relationship with the singer.

“If you’re not getting the love that you’re giving, you have to walk away, and I genuinely think that this is such a blessing because who f***ing knows how long I would have stayed and how long I would have dealt with this s***?” she said.

Bryan declined to respond to LaPaglia’s allegations at the time.

“The response itself, the silence, is deafening,” LaPaglia subsequently told “BFF” listeners in November 2024. “I think his response proves his character again. It just kind of proves everything I said in the last episode, and it is a little frustrating.”

The two have continued to feud since their breakup, with Bryan reportedly writing a diss track and LaPaglia seemingly shading the musician’s bride, Samantha Leighton Leonard, when they tied the knot in 2025. LaPaglia also claimed that she refused to sign an NDA that Bryan presented to her during their relationship.

Brianna ‘Chickenfry’ LaPaglia Clapped Back at a Fan Over Zach Bryan Split

One month after splitting from Zach Bryan, Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia posted a video set to Taylor Swift’s track “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart,” where she cozied up to a new guy.

A follower replied, “That was fast,” seemingly accusing LaPaglia of moving on too quickly from her split with Bryan.

“Well I was cheated on my whole relationship so yeah,” LaPaglia replied.

Bryan never directly responded to his ex-girlfriend’s accusations but later insisted that he was “terrifyingly unphased by the fake s*** people say about me.”

Brianna ‘Chickenfry’ LaPaglia Called Out Logan Paul After Their Podcast Interview

Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia revealed on her “PlanBri Uncut” podcast in February 2026 that she was unhappy with an interview she’d recently done with Logan Paul.

According to LaPaglia, one of her conditions for going on Paul’s “Impaulsive” podcast was that he would not ask about her split from Zach Bryan. Paul allegedly brought up the subject anyway by asking whether LaPaglia and Bryan might ever make peace.

“He’s always the opps. Oh, my gosh, he would hate you,” she told Paul. “He hated anything to do with podcasting, he thinks it’s so embarrassing, like, the worst thing ever. He would always make fun of my career.”

On her own podcast, LaPaglia revealed that her publicist was “seething” over Paul bringing up her split from Bryan.

“I was like, ‘Alright, let’s get it all out of the way,’ which is fine. I know that people are going to ask about it, but at this point, I’ve said everything that I’m going to say. I’m not going to say anything new, and it’s not that interesting,” she insisted.

LaPaglia went on, “I knew they were going to [ask], every single show where I go on with men, they ask about it.”

LaPaglia was particularly upset that Paul used her comment about Bryan to promote the episode.

“They titled the f***ing podcast that,” she complained. “So that looks like I went on that podcast to talk about that when that was the one thing [where] I was like, ‘Hey, let’s not f***ing talk about this.’”

Brianna ‘Chickenfry’ LaPaglia Feuded With Her Former Podcast Cohost Grace O’Malley

Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia and close friend Grace O’Malley cohosted the “PlanBri Uncut” podcast for more than two years before O’Malley announced “the end of the podcast” in December 2024. (“PlanBri Uncut” originally started as a solo project for LaPaglia before O’Malley joined full-time in 2022.)

“[I’m] proud of what we built, nostalgic for all these years and frankly outright heartbroken that this chapter has closed,” she explained via her Instagram Story. “But, we agreed to make a joint statement, so I replied, cried, and chose not to repost or say anything until it was time. On that same day, you might’ve seen Brianna post that she’s ‘working on bringing back some version of PlanBri.’ To give you guys the much needed info you deserve, all I can say is that that was my first time hearing about this.”

Per O’Malley, she finally decided to speak out about the status of “PlanBri Uncut” when LaPaglia announced that she was working on a new version of the podcast.

“This last year, I bit my tongue so much that I shouldn’t even have one anymore. I was willing to wait out of respect, but things don’t always work out the way you think they will. In fact they rarely do. I most definitely did not foresee any of this EVER ending,” she wrote. “I don’t think I’ll ever fully get into every aspect of how this came to be, but it should be said that, although this was not a mutual decision, I’m realizing that, in the grand scheme of things, it might actually end up being the right one.”

LaPaglia revealed on the “Impaulsive” podcast in February 2026 that she was “not friends” with O’Malley and vowed that they’d “never be friends again.”

“But there was no beef to begin with and the internet made it so much worse than it was and now it’s so annoying,” she insisted.

LaPaglia acknowledged that she’d “butted heads” with O’Malley over numerous disagreements, including her former relationship with Zach Bryan.

“There was a whole other s*** going on with her where our ‘PlanBri’ [podcast] fans were really bullying me, and I was like, ‘Grace, will you say something? Will you do something?’” LaPaglia alleged. “And she was like, ‘No, it’s fine. It doesn’t matter.’ It was really hurting me because I was in a really bad relationship.”

LaPaglia claimed that the discourse around the end of “PlanBri Uncut” only “snowballed and spiraled” when O’Malley spoke out publicly.

“She goes on all these podcasts and says that she misses me and wants to be friends, but then behind closed doors in New York, she won’t talk to anyone that talks to me,” LaPaglia said of O’Malley. “She ends friendships. She’s evil. It’s very dark and weird. I’ve never said that out loud.”

O’Malley started her own podcast, “Disgraceful,” in February 2025. LaPaglia has continued “PlanBri Uncut” on her own.

Brianna ‘Chickenfry’ LaPaglia Called Donald Trump’s 2024 Presidential Election Win a ‘Reality Check’

In the aftermath of the 2024 election, Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia had a frank discussion with Josh Richards on their “BFFs” podcast about Donald Trump once again winning the presidency.

LaPaglia admitted to facing a reckoning of sorts when she realized so many of the people in her life voted for Trump.

“I can’t understand that mentality of, like, just because I don’t have the same political opinions as someone doesn’t mean I can’t respect you or be your friend,” she explained. “Also, yeah, newsflash, the majority of the country voted for Trump. So, what, am I gonna sit in my house and not talk to anyone? Because everyone that I f***ing know in the real world … everyone voted for Trump.”

She added, “It’s a reality check for people like me, to be honest. I didn’t realize how many people voted for him in my life.”

LaPaglia copped to frequently going “back and forth” with her Barstool boss Dave Portnoy over his support for Trump, yet she refused to let their political differences ruin their friendship.

Brianna ‘Chickenfry’ LaPaglia Clashed With Her ‘Special Forces’ Costar Kody Brown

Fox’s Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test season 4 put together an eclectic group of celebrity recruits to endure a version of the real United States Special Forces selection course. Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia signed on to compete alongside the likes of The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Teresa Giudice, The Valley’s Brittany Cartwright and former NFL star Johnny Manziel, among others.

It was a cast full of strong personalities, but it’s safe to say that LaPaglia really didn’t hit it off with Sister Wives star Kody Brown. LaPaglia and Brown clashed throughout the season, with the podcaster once suggesting that her costar was “creepy.”

LaPaglia revealed on “BFFs” in November 2025 that she’d heard from her Special Forces costars that Kody’s wife, Robyn Brown, wanted to “murder” her.

“Are you crazy? I have a Mormon sister wife who wants to skin me alive? I couldn’t even f***ing believe it,” she quipped. “First of all, what did I do? If you guys are watching Special Forces, I think I was the nicest one to him on the show. I was doing, like, gentle parenting.”

Robyn has not publicly addressed LaPaglia’s accusations.

Brianna ‘Chickenfry’ LaPaglia Predicted Ozempic Users Are ‘All Gonna Die’

In March 2026, Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia took aim at people who use GLP-1s like Ozempic and Wegovy. The prescription injectable is used to treat type 2 diabetes but has also been prescribed for weight loss.

“No tea, no shade, no hate, just some field research. Every single bitch I know is on Ozempic. People that do not need Ozempic,” LaPaglia claimed via TikTok. “It’s like if I did Ozempic. Could I lose a couple? Surely. Do I need Ozempic? No!”

She then warned, “You’re gonna die. You’re all gonna die!”

Zach Bryan and Brianna ‘Chickenfry’ LaPaglia’s Relationship Timeline

LaPaglia’s medical advice was swiftly criticized by many in the medical field, including plastic surgeon Dr. Terry Dubrow.

“Someone should revoke her medical license. Oh wait,” Dubrow quipped in a response to Us Weekly’s Instagram post about LaPaglia’s comments.

Amid the backlash, LaPaglia insisted that she was talking about “size 2, size 0 girls going on Ozempic,” not people who needed it for legitimate health reasons.

“When I say you’re gonna die, I mean it’s because you’re literally starving yourself,” she declared. “If anything, you need to gain weight! If you need Ozempic, go on Ozempic.”

LaPaglia shared that Ozempic “changed my aunt’s life” and “changed my cousin’s life” because “they needed it.”

“You bitches that are size 2 and size 0, it’s f***ed up and, yeah, you’re all gonna die. Not because of the Ozempic but because you’re going to be malnourished and you’re gonna hit your head,” she predicted.

Brianna ‘Chickenfry’ LaPaglia Slammed Alex Cooper in Scathing TikTok Video

In April 2026, Alex Cooper and Alix Earle started a social media back-and-forth regarding drama between them. Dave Portnoy got involved, sharing Instagram messages between himself and Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia about Cooper. Upon seeing this, Cooper responded, calling out LaPaglia by name.

“This girl on girl s*** needs to stop,” Cooper wrote. “While Alix tries to get her story together, let me address Brianna Chickenfry who is adding onto the fake narrative and dog pile.”

Cooper showed her previous friendly DM conversations with LaPaglia while adding, “Brianna, you coming online saying I’m a mean girl, that I’m going to get destroyed, in peoples comments saying I hate Alex Cooper … Here are the facts. I have never met you in my life. The only communication we have ever had together is through DM.”

LaPaglia responded via Instagram Stories.

“I was a fan of Alex Cooper before I knew the wrath of f***ing Alex Cooper and what she does to people and how she treats people,” she alleged. “I’m friends with Alix Earle. Alix Earle told me everything that transpired between those two two years ago at the Super Bowl, she told me everything. It didn’t happen at the Super Bowl but that’s when she told me everything … It’s not my story to tell so I didn’t tell it.”
