Often the argument for showing an ID to vote states that we need to show an ID in many other situations. Like, for instance, getting a room in a hotel.
However, once you have your key you are allowed to come and go to your room as you please. Just think of how annoying it would be if you had to show your ID every time you wanted to get back to your room.
In order to vote in an election, you are required to submit identification to get onto the voter roll. Once on the roll you have your key. Asking for an ID when you are already listed on the roll is just another form of what I consider harassment, especially since there is so little evidence of voter fraud.
