So Donald Trump wants Iran to make a deal. Why? So he can break it?
In former President Barack Obama’s second term, we suspected Iran was creating a nuclear weapon, and they refused to cooperate, so Obama and NATO levied sanctions on them. Before long, shelves in Iranian food markets were empty, hospital medication was disappearing, and we froze Iranian assets. These actions brought them to their knees, and to the table. They would allow an inspection team from the United Nations into Iran for inspection. They were granted access to anywhere they wished to go. In return, sanctions were relaxed, and some assets were released.
This was all done without a single shot fired, or a single life lost. Relations with Iran, although not perfect, were better.
In 2018, along comes President Donald Trump, who calls this “the worst agreement ever negotiated,” and he ends it. He broke this agreement, not because it didn’t work, but seemingly because Obama initiated it, and because it was successful.
Trump is responsible for this war, and for any lives lost. If the Obama plan had been allowed to exist, there may never have been Iranian missiles directed at Israel, and I believe this war would not exist.
Iranian leadership is not our problem, it is something for the Iranian people to fix. Trump is our problem! His endless lies have reached new levels. He promised his base he would never start a war. He’s started two! Is this the ultimate distraction from the Epstein Files?
