A Limington man allegedly led police on a chase in a stolen truck on Sunday evening.
Shaun Webster, 33, has been charged with theft by unauthorized use, failure to stop for law enforcement, driving to endanger, operating under the influence, aggravated criminal mischief, criminal trespassing and passing a road block, according to Shannon Moss, a spokesperson for the Maine Department of Public Safety.
Webster allegedly stole the truck just before 5 p.m., and was spotted nearly an hour later on Route 25 in Limington, where a state trooper tried to pull him over for “poor operation,” Moss said Tuesday afternoon.
He allegedly didn’t stop and continued down Route 25 into Standish before turning north onto Route 113, leading police on a chase through Baldwin and into Hiram, where police used spike mats to disable the truck.
Webster was arrested and taken to the York County Jail in Alfred.
