Unexpected stars Bella Vaughn and Hunter Johnson have called it quits less than one month after getting engaged and more than one year after welcoming their first baby together.
Bella, 16, confirmed their split via TikTok on Friday, May 29.
“This is the video I have been asked to make a million times to finally address it, and yes, we did break up,” the teen began. “I won’t go into detail why, but he lied to me and hurt my feelings, and two days later was talking to someone new. It was not a big deal, so yeah, there was no drama, no tea behind it.”
Bella’s mom, Falen, said that her daughter and Hunter, 14, are “going to coparent” their son, Wesley, 15 months.
Bella concluded, “Please don’t go attacking anyone, including us. I am better off on my own.”

Before confirming their split, Bella hinted at the breakup in another post featuring two selfies. Over one photo, Bella wrote, “Everyone in my life has someone they’d easily choose over me.” Over the second snap, she added, “That’s my why.”
In the caption, Bella wrote, “Jus [sic] wanna be someone’s first priority bruh #teenmom #15andpregnant #babyboy #tlc #single.”
Bella and Hunter welcomed their son in March 2025 when the former was 15 and the latter was 13. The pair later made their debut on Unexpected season 7 in February, becoming one of the show’s youngest teen parents.
Bella announced in early May that she and Hunter had gotten engaged.

Ahead of their debut on Unexpected, Bella took to TikTok to defend her relationship with Hunter amid backlash over their ages. (Bella revealed at the time that Hunter was 12 when they conceived.)
“I understand he was sexually ready faster than I was, and that’s OK, but I was ready when we had sex,” she said. “You can all stop saying that it was illegal and that I raped him because I didn’t. It was both intentional. On both sides, people have already said that. We’ve already talked to the cops about it. It was consensual.”
Bella continued, “I did not ruin Hunter’s life. I gave, when I found that I was pregnant, I gave him the option. I said, ‘If you can’t do this or you don’t want to be here, that is fine. I understand we’re both very young, but I can do this on my own or with you. It’s your decision. Whatever you choose, I’m fine with.’ He chose to stay with me. He chose to take care of our baby.”
