Cole Sprouse is ready to be an uncle.
The Riverdale alum, 33, took to his Instagram Story on Thursday, May 14, to react to a photo of his pregnant sister-in-law, Barbara Palvin, and his twin brother, Dylan Sprouse, at the 79th annual Cannes Film Festival in France. The image showed Palvin, 32, wearing a baby blue gown as she cradled her baby bump on the red carpet. With her other hand, she reached out to Dylan, who sported a black suit as he admired his wife.
“❤️❤️❤️,” Cole wrote over the photo.
Palvin and Dylan announced earlier on Thursday that they’re expecting their first baby. Shortly after walking the Cannes red carpet, the couple took to Instagram to share a joint post featuring a photo of Dylan sitting in a chair and smiling up at Palvin, who sat on the chair’s arm beside him. She gazed down at her husband as they both placed a hand on her stomach.

Palvin and Dylan also shared an ultrasound image that was edited to look like the baby was making a “rock hands” gesture, as well as a photo of the parents-to-be doing the same hand motion.
The model and the actor began dating in June 2018 after meeting at a Harper’s Bazaar party the previous August. In a 2020 interview with British Vogue, Palvin admitted that she ignored a DM from Dylan for months before their relationship began because she was “scared” that they would be “paparazzi’ed all the time” if they dated.
In March 2023, Palvin sparked engagement rumors by wearing a diamond ring on her left hand at the Mammoth Film Festival. A source exclusively told Us Weekly at the time that she had been referring to Dylan as her “fiancé,” noting that the pair “talked about getting married and having kids soon.”
Dylan and Palvin kept their engagements under wraps for months before finally confirming the news in a June 2023 cover shoot for V Magazine. The couple also revealed at the time that Dylan proposed in September 2022.
“We didn’t necessarily feel the need to be fully transparent with the public about that aspect of our engagement,” the Suite Life of Zack & Cody alum explained. “What we wanted to do with Stephen and the V team is make something that was kind of tongue-in-cheek about the nature of private versus public. We’re playing with the idea of perception.”

Palvin and Dylan tied the knot weeks later in her native Hungary.
In August 2025, Dylan exclusively opened up to Us about what he’s learned so far in his marriage to Palvin.
“In general, [marriage has] taught me a lot of patience and communication. Obviously that’s the cliché, is that people say communication is key, but it really is,” he said at the time. “It’s also just understanding you’re both human and you both do things. For most people’s lives, until they’re in a really serious relationship, they’re used to being in survival mode, which is, ‘How do I survive independently and live?’ And then when you are in a committed relationship and you’re married, you have to rewire yourself to be like, ‘Oh, I’m fighting for two people. And everything I think of now is what we do together.’”
