Husson University celebrated its 127th commencement this weekend with two ceremonies honoring 729 graduates across undergraduate and graduate programs.
Graduate students were honored Friday with a hooding ceremony at Newman Gymnasium on the Husson campus. A total of 244 graduate degrees were awarded.
The Chesley Husson Award went to Dan Cashman, host of The Nite Show and a public relations professional, for his work incorporating New England School of Communications students, faculty and staff into the show’s production.

Undergraduate students gathered Saturday at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor for commencement. The university awarded 562 undergraduate degrees, bringing the total number of degrees conferred this weekend to 806.
Dr. Lon Cardon, president and CEO of Jackson Laboratory, delivered the commencement address and received an honorary Doctor of Science degree. Melissa Smith, chair, CEO and president of WEX, received an honorary Doctor of Business Administration degree.
