Taylor Frankie Paul is focused on healing and reaching new milestones following her Bachelorette scandal.
“I just bought my first house on my own,” Paul, 31, wrote via her Instagram Stories on Wednesday, May 6. “[I had] been renting for years.”
Paul has been navigating a trying time since March. At the end of the month, ABC scrapped her season of The Bachelorette over resurfaced footage from a domestic violence altercation with ex Dakota Mortensen that led to her 2023 arrest. (Paul pleaded guilty to aggravated assault and was put on probation.)
“Taylor is very grateful for ABC’s support as she prioritizes her family’s safety and security,” a rep for the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star told Us Weekly in a statement at the time. “After years of silently suffering extensive mental and physical abuse as well as threats of retaliation, Taylor is finally gaining the strength to face her accuser and taking steps to ensure that she and her children are protected from any further harm.”

Taylor shares daughter Indy, 8, and son Ocean, 5, ex-husband Tate Paul, as well as son Ever, 2, with Mortensen, 33. The MomTok influencer temporarily lost custody of Ever last month following another alleged incident with Mortensen in February. A judge allowed her weekly supervised visitation until an official ruling can be made. Taylor and Mortensen were also each granted protective orders against one another.
Taylor has since been focused on prioritizing her mental health and well-being.
“I’ll start at [the] surface-level regarding mental health. You can only say ‘I’m fine’ (when you’re not) for so long until your body can no longer do it,” she wrote via Instagram on Wednesday. “The amount of times I kept going as normal and downplayed, didn’t acknowledge, process or speak out severely caught up to me. If you don’t address/process it your body will start to scream for help in some way.”
Taylor continued, “‘Address what?’ is probably the next question … and that answer is different for everyone and where it vastly becomes more complex. This isn’t to convince any one of anything or to be understood. It’s to bring awareness so maybe someone can prevent getting to this point or feel less alone or be encouraged to speak on whatever their struggle is.”

Taylor further shared a glimpse of the “glimmers” that were getting her through the difficult period.
“My daily drive, bloodwork to check levels of what could be lacking or too much of [and] the amount of support is astonishing,” she wrote via her Instagram Stories on Wednesday, sharing a picture of thank-you cards. “[I have] gratitude to those who helped carry, and above all, Heat. Roller. No. Sleep.”
