One person was taken to the hospital with burns after a two-alarm house fire on Lee Road in Lincoln early Saturday morning, according to the Lincoln Fire Department.
Firefighters were dispatched to 497 Lee Road at approximately 2:41 a.m. and arrived to find heavy fire showing from a single-story home.
A person at a neighboring property had sustained burn injuries before firefighters arrived at the scene and was transported to Penobscot Valley Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
All occupants of the burning home were accounted for and crews conducted an interior attack, knocking down the bulk of the fire before it extended into an attached garage.
A second alarm brought additional crews and tankers from Lee, Mattawamkeag, East Millinocket, Greenbush and Milford fire departments. Approximately 6,000 gallons of water were used to bring the fire under control.
Loss as a result of the fire was stopped at 4:13 a.m. The cause was determined to be a cooking error, according to the fire department.
