YARMOUTH — Rodrigo Arcibar has “pulled” and “hucked” around the world as a star player on the Ultimate Frisbee circuit, but he’s thrilled to now be scoring in the Maine banking community.
Norway Savings Bank is pleased to appoint Arcibar as its new Yarmouth branch manager (688 Route 1), succeeding Maria Edwards who is retiring from the position after 14 years.
“I’m looking forward to fostering my new, yet growing, relationships in the community and helping my team reach their personal goals,” he said. “I see my role as being supportive to give my team members an opportunity to pursue their personal and career goals at this special bank.”
“Rodrigo joined the bank in September of 2025 as the personal banker in Yarmouth and quickly acclimated himself to both the NSB culture and the Yarmouth community as a volunteer for Yarmouth Cares About Neighbors and the Lions Club,” said Randy Easler, senior retail banking officer SVP for Norway Savings. “He has over a decade of banking experience, including leadership and lending positions for CIBC Bank USA, and we are so grateful he’s sharing his knowledge and talents with NSB and the Yarmouth community.”
After working at a large bank, Arcibar knew that he wanted to place his career on a new trajectory.
“I wanted to be where I felt I was making a positive impact on my community. This deliberate search led to Norway Savings Bank,” he said. “The alignment of values focusing on creating a positive impact on my community is what drives me to work hard for NSB knowing their mission is the same.”
Focusing on a goal and finding a way to reach it is a talent that extends from finance to frisbee for Arcibar.
“I started playing Ultimate Frisbee in college. I have played on many club teams and previously played for a semi-professional team (Chicago Wildfire, now Chicago Union),” said Arcibar, who also met his wife while playing the sport. “I’ve also played on international teams for Japan and Australia and at international tournaments, most recently in 2024 in Portugal at World Beach Ultimate Club Championship.”
The experiences underscored the importance of teamwork and genuine support, an understanding Arcibar ensures he brings to the bank each day, “I’m grateful for the tremendous support I’ve received at Norway Savings that has helped me develop the knowledge to deliver top-notch service to our clients. I want to reciprocate this support to both customers and team members in ways that will help them achieve their goals.”
For 160 years, NSB has been driven to encourage a culture of caring, community, and connection. Ready for something more than a typical job? Learn more about career opportunities at Norway Savings Bank: https://www.norwaysavings.bank/get-to-know-us/careers.
