A man was found dead in Lake Auburn on Wednesday morning.
The 46-year-old man’s body was seen floating in the water off Lake Shore Drive about 8:17 a.m., according to the Auburn Police Department.
Firefighters used a rescue boat to retrieve the body. The body has been taken to a funeral home, where the Maine medical examiner’s office will determine his cause and manner of death. Foul play isn’t suspected.
His identity is being withheld pending family notification.
The investigation is ongoing.
