CHERRYFIELD, Maine — The Maine Warden Service is seeking more information about an illegal dumping case in Cherryfield.
According to the warden service, construction debris and deer parts were dumped on private land in an area between Rocky Ridge and Baseline Road.
According to the warden service, this land is owned and managed by Wyman’s, the business known for blueberry products and one of Maine’s largest private landowners.
Officials say the area is open to the public for recreation by the landowner, and this instance of littering at this location was not the first. Last fall, game wardens and volunteers cleaned up this same location.
“Most people show great respect for our natural resources and Maine landowners,” the Maine Warden Service wrote in a release. “But just one litterbug can ruin access for everyone.”
The warden service said it has “several strong leads” it is following.
However, if you have any information regarding this incident, contact the Maine Warden Service through the Bangor State Police Dispatch at 207-973-3700.
