Accusing Georgia of being a serial killer at her murder trial was almost overshadowed by a reunion between a fan-favorite couple — and a shocking split — on the latest episode of Ginny & Georgia.
During the fourth episode of season 3, which premiered on Thursday, June 5, Georgia (Brianne Howey) prepared for jury selection by hosting an event meant to help husband Paul (Scott Porter) appeal to the town again as mayor — while also gaining information about each potential juror. Georgia’s first trial day took a turn, however, when Gabriel (Alex Mallari Jr.) took the stand and accused her of multiple murders.
It wasn’t much easier at home for Georgia as she started to pick up on Paul’s confusing distance. As viewers already know, Paul was given the lowdown on Georgia’s past, which made him start to question whether he wanted to remain with her after her trial.
Meanwhile, Georgia’s attempt to cross paths with Joe (Raymond Ablack) worked but she didn’t get the reunion she was hoping for. Instead, Joe called her out for treating his feelings for her like they were nothing. Georgia realized Joe needed space from her after being a good friend — despite still being interested in her.

Ginny wasn’t having the best time either as Marcus’ (Felix Mallard) issues further complicated their relationship. Marcus took responsibility for vandalizing Mr. Gitten’s (Jonathan Potts) classroom, which resulted in a month-long suspension. He later admitted to Max (Sara Waisglass) that he didn’t remember doing that or kissing Ginny at the dance.
To prevent Ginny from getting hurt even more, Marcus lied and said he didn’t love her. Ginny believed him and went on a date with a guy from her poetry class, Wolfe. The relationship hits kept coming with Ginny’s dad, Zion (Nathan Mitchell), telling his girlfriend he loved her. They quickly got into a fight as Simone (Vinessa Antoine) questioned her place in Zion’s life.
To top it all off, Austin (Diesel La Torraca) acted out in his class hoping to get suspended and stay home with Georgia. He got reprimanded instead and his dad, Gil (Aaron Ashmore), was called to the school. This episode’s flashbacks centered around Georgia’s reunion with Zion after breaking up with Gil, which seemingly led to a possible proposal.

Ginny & Georgia has kept upping the stakes after an explosive season 2 finale. According to Howey, 35, the fallout will only get worse — especially now that Georgia’s tumultuous past is getting brought up at her trial.
“All of the characters are now, as we see, on their own mental health journey, and it’s a really important part of the show,” she exclusively told Us Weekly in February. “Georgia, for the first time in her life, is realizing the catastrophic consequences of her actions that they have on her children.”
Howey was excited for where Georgia’s story will go, adding, “As season 2 starts, Georgia has been so exposed — all of their private family secrets are now out in the open — and you can only imagine the domino effect of what this does to everyone in Georgia’s life, including Georgia.”
