Taylor Swift was seen paying it forward after security guards stayed late at a MLB game with her and Travis Kelce.
“Game is over, she took pictures with everybody there,” sports broadcaster Adam Lefkoe said on the Friday, January 31, episode of The Steam Room. “We had to wait an hour because when you’re that famous, you can’t leave when everyone else leaves. We’re walking down the hallway and she’s reaching into her purse and she’s giving money to the security guards that had to stay late an hour.”
He continued, “You just begin to realize this is just a good person in which the world is obsessed with them. We went home and the next day my wife is listening to Taylor Swift. I’m like, ‘This is nuts.’ But it was really cool.”
Swift and Kelce, both 35, had a date night at the Yankee Stadium in October 2024 while watching the New York Yankees take on the Cleveland Guardians. (The Yankees ultimately won the game 5-2.)
Why Travis Kelce Had ‘Mixed Feelings’ About Taylor Swift Yankees Date
“The whole time I’m screaming,” Travis recalled of the night to his brother and “New Heights” podcast cohost, Jason Kelce. “I’m in hostile territory because it’s the Bronx Bombers and I’m at the Yankees Stadium in the playoffs. I’m over here cheering for the Guards because I’m a Cleveland kid and I want to see Cleveland win a f—ing World Series.”
Travis, who grew up in Ohio, shared he had “mixed feelings” about supporting the away team. “I was there trying to have some fun with Tay and everybody, all our friends. … We had an unbelievable crew with us and hanging with us,” he gushed. “It was fun, even though the Guards couldn’t pull it off. It was still an exciting, exciting game. It was cool to see Yankees Stadium ’cause I’ve always wanted to see that thing in person — in a playoff game, in a hostile environment — and it didn’t disappoint, man.”
The couple, who began dating in summer 2023, attended the American League Championship Series when Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs had a bye week. Swift, for her part, has been by her boyfriend’s side throughout the NFL season — and is scheduled to attend the 2025 Super Bowl to support Kelce and the Chiefs on Sunday, February 9.
“I think everybody’s coming,” Jason, 37, told People in an interview published on Tuesday, February 4, of those attending the game versus the Philadelphia Eagles. “I mean, I don’t want to speak for everybody, but I think obviously, our whole family. I believe, obviously Trav and Taylor, and his family and his friends. I mean, Trav always travels, like, full.”
Jason explained that Travis always has “a bunch of his friends” at games when he’s in “regular season mode,” adding, “He’s kept in touch much better with a lot of the people from our hometown. So there’s always a loaded contingency for the Kelces, wherever we’re at.”
