I know I’m not alone in admitting that when it comes to fashion, I unfortunately have designer taste but a limited budget. Still, it’s not such a terrible thing — especially since Walmart sells pieces that look luxe but are well within my price range. My favorite brand from the retailer is Free Assembly (no competition). Maybe it’s the fact that the label’s creative director is acclaimed designer Brandon Maxwell, but every single drop is packed with stylish pieces that look super expensive. . . yet cost less than $50!

8 Deals to Snag During Walmart’s Semi-Annual Intimates Savings Event

Right now, I’m attempting to revamp my winter outfits with items that are warm but on-trend. Naturally, Free Assembly has me covered (literally) with its mix of elevated cardigans, classic trench coats and denim — all of which come in sizes XS to 4X. Even my husband will benefit from my latest shopping spree since the label’s menswear is just as fashion-forward while still remaining practical.

Ahead, I’m rounding up 14 Free Assembly designs from Walmart that I think are worth adding to your wardrobe, ASAP. I definitely won’t judge you if you end up buying them all!

1. A Collared Cardigan: This striped knit design is one of those pieces that will instantly elevate whatever you’re wearing — even if it’s just jeans and sneakers. The gold buttons give it an extra chic spin while the material is lightweight enough to work for the spring season, too — $24 at Walmart!

2. A Timeless Trench: Although a trench coat will come in handy as we head into warmer weather, this is one layer you can wear year-round. The neutral, structured design complements a variety of outfits and aesthetics, including sleek suits, fancy dresses, jeans and even sweats — $49 at Walmart!

3. A Not-So-Basic Blazer: I’m not sure if it’s the snug fit or the timeless navy colorway, but this single-breasted blazer is calling my name. It’s exactly what I need to balance out casual outfits, helping me achieve rich mom vibes for less — $38 at Walmart!

4. A Striped Shirtdress: I’ve tried on numerous cotton shirtdresses from Free Assembly and all of them have made me feel (and look!) like a million bucks. This striped design is playful but elegant, and according to reviews, it “fits like a glove and [is] comfortable.” — $34 at Walmart!

5. An Everday Staple: With a 4.7-star rating and numerous colorways that are already sold out, this cardigan is a clear hit. Customers describe it as “high quality” and “upscale,” and since it’s on sale, it’s practically a steal — $17 (originally $28) at Walmart!

6. A Bow-Embellished Top: Tired of the bow trend? Well, too bad! The detail is here to stay (at least for the foreseeable future), but if you’re looking for a low-key way to rock it, this white peplum-hem top is the perfect pick. The same piece is available in navy, too — $28 at Walmart!

7. A Denim Skirt: As a millennial, I may never tire of a denim mini. I’m already picturing this button-front option paired with black tights and loafers (or maybe even sling-backs if I’m feeling daring) — $22 at Walmart!

8. A Playful Pair of Jeans: Made of cotton and spandex, these ankle-length jeans will hug you in all the right places. Plus, the unique patchwork design stands out from the pack and adds a little something extra when styled with basic staples — $26 at Walmart!

9. A Sweet Sweater Dress: If you’re looking for something that’s throw-on-and-go, invest in an easy yet elevated sweater dress. This striped option feels like something Kate Middleton might wear (she does love stripes!) and all you’ll need is a pair of long boots to pull the look together — $28 at Walmart!

10. A Cropped Pair of Pants: If wearing jeans every day is starting to feel repetitive, switch things up with some cotton pants. This stretchy, wide-leg pick costs less than $30 but is near-identical to an option from Anthropologie, which typically retails for $120! — $26 at Walmart!

11. An Eye-Catching Sweater: Wintertime is known for its dark, neutral color scheme, but incorporating pops of color is an easy way to take your outfit to the next level. Ease into brights and prints with this muted blue sweater that features a simple striped pattern — $26 at Walmart!

12. A Denim Shirt: The Western aesthetic took off in 2024, but it seems like it’s here to stay for 2025, too. Embrace it in the simplest way possible by slipping on a denim shirt instead of your average white button-down. Once you’re ready to go all in, just add a pair of cowboy boots! — $24 at Walmart!

13. A Men’s Polo: Forget rich mom style — what about the hot dad look? The men in your life will appreciate this gray knit polo, which they can wear to the office, for date night or to family gatherings. This piece, which ranges from sizes XS to 3X, looks just as great dressed up with khakis as it does an athleisure pair of track pants — $16 at Walmart!

14. A Hoodie Alternative: Is it a sweatshirt or a turtleneck? Well, it’s kind of a mix. This 100% cotton design is just as cozy as loungewear and bound to become his new favorite go-to — $22 at Walmart
