Katharine McPhee Praises Stepdaughters Erin and Sara Foster for Nobody Wants This Success 313

Nobody is more impressed with Erin Foster and Sara Foster’s work than their stepmom, Katharine McPhee.

“I’m so proud of Erin and Sara,” McPhee, 40, exclusively revealed in the latest issue of Us Weekly, on newsstands now. “They have had their hands in so many things. They’re just at the peak of so much huge success. Yeah, they’ve entered it.”

While McPhee was quick to praise the duo’s fashion brand, Favorite Daughter, she also gave Erin, 42, and Sara, 43, a round of applause for their roles as executive producers on the hit Netflix comedy series Nobody Wants This.

The show, which premiered in September 2024, debuted with a 10-episode order, tracking the unlikely romance between sex podcaster Joanne (Kristen Bell) and “hot” rabbi Noah (Adam Brody). Netflix has already ordered a second season.

Katharine McPhee’s Stepmom Moments With Erin and Sara Foster Over the Years

“If there was anybody more diversified than them, I haven’t met it,” McPhee told Us at the Bio.Me launch event on December 3. “I haven’t met that person because of the success of their clothing line, their podcast and now entering into TV and film. It’s like every person’s dream.”

Although McPhee joked that she is “not their real mother,” they are “definitely my family and we’re all so, so proud.”

McPhee has been married to Sara and Erin’s dad, David Foster, since June 2019. The couple got married in London and now have a 3-year-old son Rennie David.

“This last Thanksgiving, we had so much to be thankful for and just to be supportive of them,” she added. “It feels really great to be in their corner.”

Katharine McPhee celebrates the launch of bio.me’s new Daily Prebiotic Fiber flavors at Little Lunch in Venice on December 3rd.

When asked if she could see herself working with her stepdaughters on a future project, McPhee didn’t rule the possibility out.

“I mean, sure,” she replied. “I’m gonna have to beg for a job!”

Until then, McPhee is hard at work recording new music. She also recently signed up to be part of Mandy Patinkin’s murder mystery The Artist.

With such a busy schedule, McPhee tries to take care of her gut health with Bio.me. The company recently released a new collection of Daily Prebiotic Fiber flavors including chocolate and chai.

Katharine McPhee and David Foster’s Relationship Timeline

“I’m a big believer in that the gut is essential to great, strong immunity,” McPhee told Us. “I feel like I’m mostly like this Sergeant around in my own family: for my husband, for my mom. … Put this in your coffee, put this in your smoothie. I’m thrilled to have another thing to make it easier to just feel good.”
