Route 9 was closed Thursday morning after a car crash in Eddington.
The crash happened before sunrise, bringing down multiple poles and power lines, according to the Eddington Fire Department.
That completely closed the road to traffic.
The road remained closed at 9:15 a.m., according to a dispatcher.
Drivers need to avoid the area. Traffic is being redirected at routes 46 and 180. The only way to get to Bangor or Brewer from Clifton is to go through Ellsworth.
Information about the driver’s condition wasn’t immediately available.
