A man who shot and killed his landlord in front of his pregnant girlfriend has been sentenced to spend the rest of his life behind bars.
Randal Hennessey shot and killed 31-year-old Douglas Michaud in September 2021 as Michaud was trying to evict him from his Biddeford home.
Michaud’s pregnant girlfriend watched Hennesey shoot Michaud multiple times in the chest before taking off on a motorcycle.
In July, it only took a jury an hour to deliberate and find Hennessey guilty.
In addition to life behind bars, Hennesey was also sentenced to five years for possession of a firearm by a felon.
