JACKMAN – Penobscot Community Health Care, a primary care resource for Penobscot, Somerset and Waldo counties recently announced the upcoming retirement of long-time physician, Dr. Patricia Doyle, MD who currently serves in Jackman.
“Medical services will continue in the same capacity without disruption to my patients and the community. Caring for my patients and the community has been the most rewarding part of my career. Over the past four decades, I have watched many families grow and have shared heartache and joy with hundreds of patients,” said Dr. Doyle as she reflected on her experience over her career. “I appreciate your loyalty throughout the years and will take the memories of all that I have experienced with me into my retirement. I want to thank my staff and team for their years of commitment and providing exceptional care and support to our patients.”
Dr. Doyle is committed to the community and will be an integral part of finding a replacement provider for the Jackman Community Health Center. She will continue to work as the primary medical provider at JCHC until a new provider has been identified and transitioned into this role. PCHC has started the search to find a provider who will be successful in this role and will be committed to the community like that of Dr. Doyle over the last 37 years.
Dr. Doyle, who began her career at PCHC in 1987 has dedicated her time, knowledge, and expertise to caring for the community. “It has been my pleasure to serve the Jackman community for more than thirty-six years as a family physician. It has been a privilege to meet so many people and develop strong professional relationships with my patients,” Dr. Doyle shared in a recent letter to her patients.
Doyle has been active in the community for many years, providing home health visits and after hours care. She has acted as a preceptor and mentor for numerous medical students throughout the years and she played an instrumental role in establishing the successful 24/7 acute care program, bringing specialized training and telehealth oversight to paramedics who provide after hours care to community members.
