A game warden and K9 located a missing Abbot man in the woods more than a mile from his home Saturday night.
The man, 71-year-old Howard Weymouth, left for a walk at about 3:30 pm. Saturday but never returned. His family attempted to find Weymouth, who has Alzheimer’s disease, by following his tracks in the woods but were unsuccessful.
The Maine Warden Service was contacted and began to search for Weymouth. At about 9:30 p.m. Game Warden Chad Robertson and his K9 Storm located Weymouth deep in the woods about 1.5 miles from his home and assisted him home.
