A Maine assistant attorney general has pleaded guilty to drunken driving in Wilton.
An attorney entered the plea on Tuesday on behalf of 36-year-old Paul Suitter of Portland, according to the Sun Journal.
Franklin County sheriff’s deputies responded to a report about a possible drunken driver on Aug. 5, 2023. Deputies stopped the vehicle on Main Street in Wilton.
Suitter was arrested and charged with operating under the influence.
Suitter originally pleaded not guilty in August 2023.
A judge sentenced Suitter to pay a $1,000 fine and a 150-day loss of his driver’s license, according to the Sun Journal.
