A New Hampshire man who police say assaulted a 4-year-old boy has been arrested after fleeing to Maine.
Jose Gurley, 25, has been charged with felony first degree assault, according to the Nashua Police Department.
Police began pursuing Gurley after a Jan. 19 medical emergency involving a 4-year-old boy who suffered serious head and facial injuries, Nashua police said.
During their investigation, detectives learned that Gurley had fled across the state line into Maine. With the help of the Maine State Police, his vehicle was found at a residence in Cornish, according to Nashua police.
On Friday, state police arrested Gurley, who is currently being held at the York County Jail in Alfred, where he awaits extradition back to New Hampshire.
