Arsenal’s search for a striker continues, with the Gunners linked with another Serie A striker.
It was confirmed on Friday that Alexandre Lacazette will be leaving the club on a free transfer when his contract expires at the end of June.

With Lacazette moving on, Arsenal have Eddie Nketiah as their sole senior striking option, as Folarin Balogun is certainly not ready for regular game time with the Gunners.
So, it is imperative that Arsenal sign a new striker this summer if they are to stand any chance of competing in the Europa League or finishing in the Premier League’s top-four. A number of players have already been tipped to fill that role, the main one being Manchester City’s Gabriel Jesus, though he has also garnered interest from Tottenham and Real Madrid.
Sassuolo and Italy striker Gianluca Scamacca is too believed to be on the radar of Arsenal.
Now, a fresh name has been linked with the Gunners on Monday.
According to Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport, Cagliari striker Giovanni Simeone has emerged as a potential target for Arsenal.
The report adds that the Argentine hitman may cost just £12m in the summer transfer window.
Simeone spent 2021/22 on loan at Helles Verona, where he would score 17 and assist six in 36 league outings.
He has now returned to his parent club Cagliari, who he is under contract with until 2024.
