The Medomak Varsity girls took the early lead with 23:17 left on the clock when Summer Staples found the back of the net off a pass from Scarlett Flint. Then about 16 minutes later, at the 7:17 minute mark, Medomak was able to put the ball into the back of the net again. Flint took a shout outside the 18, it was deflected by a Waterville defender where Anna Cheesman found the deflection and put it low and away giving Medomak a 2-0 lead. During the first half there was a long ball for Waterville where it was a race between goalie Chloe Fox and a Waterville front line girl, both girls missed the ball and there was a collision outside the 18, resulting in Fox getting a yellow card. Fox had to leave the game and Flint stepped up and jumped in goal. During this minute time frame, Flint made a beautiful save and had a nice long punt to help the Medomak panthers until Fox was able to return.
The first half ended 2 to 0, Medomak in the lead.
The second half started off with Medomak having more intensity. Medomak scored again with 34:16 remaining in the second half. Ella McClean had a huge throw in which found Cheesman at the top of the key, where she capitalized and scored her second goal of the night giving MVHS a 3-00 lead. There was 7:31 minutes remaining when Flint dribbled up and shot outside the 18, the ball was high and went over the goalies head soaring into the back of the net, giving MVHS the final lead 4-0.
Medomak had 15 shots on goal while Waterville had eight. Chloe Fox for Medomak had six saves and Waterville had 13.
Medomak had three corner kicks and three direct kicks, Waterville had no corner kicks and five direct kicks.
JV game
The Medomak JV girls jumped out with an early lead half way through the first half (20 minute halves) so at the 10:19 minute mark, Eva Vannoy passed the ball up to Sydney Boggs who put the ball into the back of the next giving Medomak the lead 1-0. The first half ended with this score.
About five minutes into the second half, Eliza Prock found the back of the net off a pass from Haddee Brown giving Medomak a 2-0 lead. This would remain the score until the end.
The Waterville goalie had 13 saves while the Medomak goalies (four different players) had four saves together.
