Chase Chrisley got candid about his health in a new episode of his family’s docuseries, The Chrisleys: Back to Reality.

“Within the last year, I’ve lost a lot of weight,” Chase, 29, said in a confessional during the Tuesday, September 9, episode of the Lifetime series. “My body is just, like, rejecting food. Something’s going on. It sucks. I mean, it’s absolutely miserable.”

During the fifth episode of the series, Chase told business partner Cary Purcell that his “health has gone to s***” while the pair were out to lunch. “I don’t know if it’s just everything I’ve done catching up to me or stress,” he remarked, before joking the stress “ain’t gonna age me ’cause I’ll go under the knife.”

Chase later quipped, “But I got a hemorrhoid the size of Alabama and a tax bill that could buy a lake house.”

The Chrisley Knows Best alum is then shown driving with girlfriend Jodi Fournerat following a visit to his doctor. When asked how he was feeling after the appointment, Chase admitted he was “kind of scared.”

“In regards to Chase’s health, it’s progressively gotten worse,” Jodi told the cameras. “He ultimately cannot keep a meal — even sometimes water — down. I’ve been trying to change his diet, but like the stubborn Chase that he is, he refuses to think that will help.”

At his grandmother Nanny Faye’s house, Chase shared more insight into what he says the doctor told him. “They’re gonna run some tests to see if my gallbladder’s working. And then run tests to see if my stomach’s working,” he explained. “And if those are working, they’re gonna do a CT scan to see if I have a brain tumor.”

Todd Chrisley weighed in on his son’s well-being in a phone call from prison. (Todd, 56, and his wife, Julie Chrisley, were sentenced to a combined 19 years after being indicted on 12 counts of bank and wire fraud, tax evasion and conspiracy. They were pardoned by President Donald Trump in May and returned home as the family filmed their new series.)

“I don’t know exactly what’s going on with Chase,” Todd said over the phone. “For about four years, Chase has had stomach issues. He’d eat and he’d be in the bathroom or he’d be throwing up. And that seems to have gotten much worse since I left. He’s lost 15 pounds.”

Todd continued, “I don’t understand, he goes, ‘Maybe I don’t wanna know if something is really wrong.’ And I said, ‘Do you know how stupid that sounds?’ I said, ‘You find out what’s wrong and you get it fixed and you go on with your life.’ We are going to get to the bottom of it, I assure you.”

Chase was seen vomiting on multiple occasions throughout the episode, including at his grandmother’s house, where he had loaded up his plate with salty food.

“I’ve been doing research. They always tell me about Googling. That’s my best friend,” Nanny Faye said in a confessional after hearing about Chase’s visit to the doctor. “It says it could be caused from anxiety, loss of sleep, and a lot of emotional things. But I tell him … putting so much salt on food and hot sauce is gonna burn the lining of your stomach. … But you know what, I can only tell him.”

The Chrisleys: Back to Reality airs its season finale on Lifetime Tuesday, September 16.
