Gilmore Girls alums Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel are turning the 2025 Emmy Awards into a Stars Hollow reunion.
Graham, 58, and Bledel, 43, are among the star-studded list of Emmys presenters revealed by the Television Academy on Tuesday, September 9. The former costars’ appearance at the Sunday, September 14, awards ceremony coincides with the 25th anniversary of Gilmore Girls, which aired from 2000 to 2007.
During Sunday’s show, comedian Nate Bargatze is making his debut as Emmys host. Other notable presenters include Kristen Bell, who is nominated for her first Emmy Award this year for Nobody Wants This, and Eric Dane, who announced his ALS diagnosis earlier this year. The lineup also features Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Stephen Colbert, Walton Goggins, Mariska Hargitay, Justin Hartley, Jude Law, Jenna Ortega, Sydney Sweeney, Jesse Williams and more.
Fans previously saw Graham and Bledel reprise their respective roles as Lorelai and Rory on Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, a four-part Netflix revival which debuted in 2016. During a recent appearance on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, Graham opened up about her close bond with her onscreen daughter.

“I met Alexis in the lobby of the hotel and we just always really got along,” Graham said in April. “We did just feel immediate chemistry.”
According to the actress, the duo brought “different energies” to their roles. “She is a shyer, quieter person, which has been perfect. If you had two loud mes, you’d not have a good balance,” Graham joked.
Both Graham and Bledel continued to have a presence in the TV world after Gilmore Girls wrapped its seven-season run. Graham went on to star as Sarah Braverman on Parenthood from 2010 to 2015, later appearing on Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist and The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers. Bledel, for her part, earned Emmys recognition for her work on The Handmaid’s Tale, winning Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series in 2017.
Along with the upcoming awards show reunion, Gilmore Girls fans are likely being treated to a new documentary to celebrate the show’s milestone anniversary. Searching For Stars Hollow: A Gilmore Girls Documentary is set to explore “the story you thought you knew of how Gilmore Girls came to life, why it continues to resonate across generations, and how its unique blend of humor, heart, and pop culture shaped a devoted worldwide fan community,” per a description on the film’s Kickstarter.
‘Gilmore Girls’ Cast: Where Are They Now?
The project does not yet have a release date, but according to The Hollywood Reporter, original stars Kelly Bishop (Emily Gilmore), Jared Padalecki (Dean Forester), Keiko Agena (Lane Kim) and Chad Michael Murray (Tristin Dugray) are set to participate.
“The interviews that we’ve already conducted with the cast have been a delight,” director Meghna Balakumar told THR in a statement. “We’ve shot more than 100 hours of footage and have already unearthed stories, commentary, critiques, and more. And we’re continuing to shoot more interviews in the coming months to present the most complete, full and truly new story of the show’s impact and legacy that is only possible at this historical moment.”
The 2025 Emmy Awards air on CBS and Paramount+ Sunday, September 14, at 8 p.m. ET.
