Summer may be winding down, but for streamers like HBO Max, Disney+ and more, it’s the perfect time to debut new movies.
Apple TV+ has the best of this weekend’s batch, with Spike Lee and Denzel Washington’s new movie, Highest 2 Lowest, premiering on the streamer following a limited theatrical run last month.
If you’re craving some comedy, HBO Max’s Friendship might be your jam. It’s cringey and funny, and it has Paul Rudd sporting a killer ’70s mustache.
Other notable new movies this weekend include Shudder’s Jaws-meets-Hannibal thriller Dangerous Animals and Disney+’s massively successful live-action remake Lilo & Stitch.
