An Augusta man died on Thursday after his car rolled over on an exit ramp from Interstate 95 in his home city.
Just after 1 p.m. Maine State Police troopers were called to a single-vehicle crash at Exit 113 on the southbound side of the interstate.
Based on an initial investigation, state police said 54-year-old Shaun McFarlin was driving a 2006 Ford pickup when the truck left the road and rolled over. He was pronounced dead at the scene from injuries sustained in the crash.
McFarlin was not wearing a seatbelt, according to state police, and speed is believed to be a factor in the crash.
Exit 113 connects I-95 to Route 3.
The off-ramp was shut down for about 90 minutes on Thursday afternoon.
