Kat Izzo’s alleged secret boyfriend has been at the center of drama on Bachelor in Paradise season 10.

Months after splitting from Bachelor in Paradise season 9’s John Henry Spurlock, Kat, now 29, debuted her relationship with boyfriend Zac Cooper.

“Just as surprised as you are :),” Kat wrote in a since-deleted July 2024 Instagram post alongside pictures with Zac.

Bachelor Nation stars were quick to support Kat, with former Bachelorette Charity Lawson writing, “I approve x1000 welcome to the looney toon fam @zaccopper.” Bachelor in Paradise season 9 costar Kylee Russell added, “Love every part of this for you 😭😭😭.”

BiP’s Kat Sends a Message With Dale Amid Offscreen Boyfriend Allegations

When Kat stopped by the Us Weekly studio in September 2024, she brought her then-boyfriend along — and couldn’t help but gush over him.

“We officially, I guess, made it official in June,” Kat shared at the time. “So it’s still early, but we’ve just spent so much time together and have grown so close within those times. So it’s been great.”

Kat noted that Zac is from her Florida hometown, which would make the holidays “so easy,” and noted that the twosome are “really similar.” When asked whether an engagement could be on the horizon, Kat shared that they are “taking things very slow.”

“I’ve been so focused on my healing journey and my career,” she shared of her mindset before meeting him. “It’s as cliche as it sounds, when you’re not looking, someone truly comes into your life. I think I was pouring so much into myself, from a healthy way, that that’s when God or the universe let’s people in that align with you.”

BiP’s Kat Allegedly Snuck iPad in to Message Secret Boyfriend

Nearly one year after publicly sharing her romance, Kat was confirmed as a cast member of Bachelor in Paradise season 10 — leading fans to believe they ended their relationship before filming.

Kat went on to strike up a romance with Dale Moss on the beaches of Costa Rica. While season 10 aired, fellow season 10 contestant Allyshia Gupta claimed on an August episode of “The Viall Files” podcast that she and Sean McLaughlin had a “conversation” with Kat’s former boyfriend. It is unclear whether the former boyfriend is Zac; Allyshia, 30, did not name any names.

“Her boyfriend at the time, he’s like, ‘You won’t believe who ended up screwing me over.’ He fills us in [and] she’s been sending him love letters since day one in Paradise,” Allyshia claimed. “She snuck her iPad in, she was sending things to get him through, like, ‘This will last you until I get back out of Paradise,’ and, like, that’s crazy.”

While host Nick Viall claimed he wasn’t aware about the iPad, he alleged that a friend had “some things to say about Kat” including alleged attempts at communicating with an offscreen boyfriend. “I heard she somehow wrote some messages on her arm for him,” Nick, 44, said.

Allyshia noted that she “wouldn’t pick Kat” as someone to spend time with, adding, “She doesn’t tell the truth.”

Us Weekly reached out to Kat for comment at the time.

While Sean and Allyshia ultimately self-eliminated, Kat and Dale remain on Bachelor in Paradise and are currently vying for a $500,000 cash prize alongside fellow contestants Alexe Godin and Andrew Spencer, Kathy Swarts and Keith Gordon, Jess Edwards and Spencer Conley and Bailey Brown and Jeremy Simon.

The Bachelor in Paradise season 10 finale airs on ABC Tuesday, September 2, at 8 p.m. ET.
