If you haven’t been watching every Netflix original movie this summer, don’t worry. It’s nearly impossible to pull off the feat of catching every Netflix movie.

For the films that have largely slipped through the cracks, Watch With Us has selected three must-watch Netflix movies you may have missed this past summer.

It’s been a good summer for thrillers, two of which are topping our selections for the season. Our final pick is a superhero sequel that sat on the shelf for about four years after it was finished and released on Netflix.

14 Must-Watch Thrillers on Netflix Right Now (August 2025)

‘Night Always Comes’ (2025)

Do you know how far you’d go for your family when the chips are down? Lynette (Vanessa Kirby) finds out the hard way in Night Always Comes. Family is very important to Lynette, especially her older brother, Kenny (Zack Gottsagen), who has Down syndrome. She feels the need to be Kenny’s protector and guardian, since their mother, Doreen (Jennifer Jason Leigh), won’t do it. But just when Lynette had a way to buy the family home, Doreen screwed it up by blowing the down payment on a car.

With less than a day to come up with the cash and save the deal for her home, Lynette goes to some very morally questionable places. There are a lot of lines that Lynette is willing to cross, but the consequences of her actions may catch up with her sooner rather than later.

Night Always Comes is streaming on Netflix.

‘Fall For Me’ (2025)

Fall for Me is a German erotic thriller that revolves around two sisters, Lilli (Svenja Jung) and Valeria (Tijan Marei). Lilli is the oldest of the siblings, and she’s suitably upset to learn that her younger sister is hopelessly in love with Manu (Victor Meutelet), a man who has a dubious plan to use Valeria’s inheritance to buy a building and turn it into a bed and breakfast.

While in Spain to dissuade her sister, Lilli has a torrid affair of her own with a bartender named Tom (Theo Trebs). But the more Lilli looks into Manu, the more she questions whether Tom or any of the other people she’s met are also part of an elaborate con to deceive them.

Fall For Me is streaming on Netflix.

‘The Old Guard 2’ (2025)

A lot is going on in The Old Guard 2, especially if you haven’t seen the first film, which is also on Netflix. All you really need to know is that this is the film that pits action icons Charlize Theron and Uma Thurman against each other. Theron plays Andy, a woman who was once the immortal Andromache of Scythia. She’s lost her powers while most of her old team is still living a life of adventure.

Thurman plays Discord, one of the first immortals, and she’s eager to see the legacy of Andy and her team torn down and destroyed. Despite the loss of her immortality, Andy can’t back down from this fight. And if this battle doesn’t end in Andy’s favor, then it’s her team who will pay the price.

The Old Guard 2 is streaming on Netflix.
