The Real Housewives of Orange County star Katie Ginella was pulled over by police earlier this summer, Us Weekly can exclusively report.
Us obtained court records revealing Ginella, 41, had an encounter with an officer on June 3. The Bravo star was ticketed for driving without a valid license and for driving while using a cell phone.
Us understands that Ginella had a valid license, but it was from out-of-state and that she now has an active California license.
The case is shown as being “open” in Orange County court.
As Us first reported, Ginella’s costar Shannon Beador was also ticketed for driving while using a cell phone, less than two weeks before Ginella.
Beador had a run-in with law enforcement on May 21 while in O.C. She was hit with the same ticket as Ginella.
On August 13, Beador spoke out about her traffic citation in an interview with Kelly Ripa on Ripa’s “Let’s Talk Off Camera” podcast. She explained, “Everything’s fine! I was coming from an interview confessional, and I got a new puppy, and when I was at a red light, my phone buzzed.”
The reality star claimed her car was not in motion when she looked at her phone.

Beador is currently on criminal probation as a result of her September 2023 arrest for an alleged DUI and hit-and-run. Her probation is scheduled to terminate in late 2026.
Despite both having the same legal issues, Ginella and Beador are no longer friends. The drama erupted on the current season of The Real Housewives of Orange County.
On the show, Beador became infuriated after finding out Ginella secretly recorded her at a photoshoot. Ginella admitted to sending the voice recording to her husband, Matt Ginella.
During a dinner with the cast, Ginella admitted to Beador, “I was on the phone with my two business partners, having a meeting. You came in and you were screaming, and I recorded on a voice note and sent it to Matt.” Beador stormed out of the dinner. She has not forgiven Ginella.
Ginella has also been accused of sharing alleged information about Gretchen Rossi and Tamra Judge to journalist Kiki Monqiue. Ginella denied claims that she tried to spread rumors.

On July 31, Ginella spoke to Us about the conflict she experienced this season. “I think these women were looking for anything to point out that I’ve done wrong,” Ginella said. “I think I was really well received [in my first season]. I’m so thankful for everybody being so kind, and I think that was like, ‘OK, well, we’re going to point out things she did wrong if she’s so well received.’”
“I felt very alone on an island,” Ginella added. “I felt very outed, and it’s a very familiar feeling for me, so it was very difficult.”

The Bravo star, who joined RHOC in season 18, told Us, “Being the new person, being the first Asian American on Housewives, being the first Korean American and adoptee, that puts me in a different category, I think.”
Ginella added, “I also grew up in a predominantly white community as the only Asian American, so this is just a very familiar feeling.”
