Gavin Rossdale began making music well before streaming came along — but the Bush frontman says the new way of consuming tunes has actually helped critics’ reception.
“The funny thing about my reviews is that they got so much better once streaming began,” Rossdale, 59, reveals exclusively in his 25 Things You Don’t Know About Me feature in the latest issue of Us Weekly, on newsstands now.
The English musician established Bush — whose new album, I Beat Loneliness, is available to stream now — in the early ’90s, finding commercial success with their 1994 debut, Sixteen Stone. Over 30 years and 11 albums later, Rossdale and the band are still going strong — if not even stronger thanks to Spotify and other streaming platforms.

1. My favorite season is spring because it’s full of hope; you see the sunshine and everything is possible.

11. Sometimes, I reflect on “Glycerine” and songs off the first record that changed our lives so immeasurably. I revel in their innocence.
