Jillian Michaels is speaking out as Netflix’s tell-all docuseries about The Biggest Loser continues to grab viewers’ attention.

In a new social media post, the celebrity trainer slammed some of the claims made in Fit for TV: The Reality of the Biggest Loser.

“Dr. Huizenga did approve caffeine pills on many seasons of Biggest Loser,” Michaels, 51, claimed via Instagram on Tuesday, August 19. “Bob Harper not only knew about the caffeine pills the ‘stackers fat burner’ were actually his suggestion. I wanted to use my brand instead because they were cleaner and had no more than 200mg of caffeine (equivalent to a strong cup of coffee).”

She also claimed caffeine was “NEVER banned” on The Biggest Loser.

The Biggest Loser’s Scandals and Controversies Through the Years

“Wild how some folks still lie like it’s 1985 before texts and email were a thing,” she added. “And, the last image is my second to last text ever to Bob Harper. Take from it what you will.”

According to Michaels, the message to Harper, 60, purportedly stated: “I really think it’s s***ty of you to not even respond to my texts. It’s this kind of thing that always makes me so disappointed [in] our relationship.”

In a separate interview with TMZ, Michaels claimed she was meeting with attorney Bryan Freedman — who is currently representing Justin Baldoni in his legal matter with Blake Lively — on Tuesday to plan her next move.

Us Weekly has reached out to Freedman for comment.

Netflix’s tell-all docuseries about The Biggest Loser features interviews with former contestants, as well as Harper, Dr. Huizenga and more people associated with the show.

Fit for TV also spotlights some of the show’s most controversial moments, including the time Michaels faced backlash after a 2013 episode of the show when she was accused of cheating by allowing her team to take caffeine pills without doctor’s permission.

“I stand by my opinion,” she said at the time. “A caffeine supplement is significantly healthier than unlimited amounts of coffee.”

A message was included during the third part of Fit for TV, which premiered on Friday, August 15, stating, “Jillian Michaels declined to participate in this documentary.”

Elsewhere in the docuseries, Dr. Huizenga said he was not comfortable with some of the show’s extreme methods of losing weight.

“As the show really got popular, some things were being done that I really … took issue with,” he said before claiming his advice was often ignored. “Maybe some things changed, not as much as I would like. Jillian never really showed any interest in my advice.”

Jillian Michaels’ Life After ‘Biggest Loser’: Where Is She After Controversy?

In Fit for TV, Harper also shed light on his relationship with Michaels. While he said the pair “were really close on television,” he also claimed that didn’t necessarily extend off camera.

When Harper had a massive heart attack in February 2017, Michaels allegedly didn’t reach out to him directly. As Harper shared in the docuseries, “That to me, spoke volumes.”

Us has reached out to Harper and Netflix for comment on Michaels’ latest claims.
