I was a teacher in Newcastle for almost 20 years, and I’ve seen firsthand how much good leadership matters for our students. In every classroom I’ve worked in, I’ve witnessed how a strong school can bring a whole community together.
That’s why I’m supporting Jordan Wood for U.S. Senate. I believe Jordan gets it. His mom was a school teacher, so he’s seen up close the dedication, long hours, and out-of-pocket costs that come with the job. He knows teachers aren’t just educators — we’re mentors, advocates, and sometimes even the safety net for our kids.
Jordan has promised to fight for fully funded public schools, expand career and technical programs, and make sure every child — no matter their ZIP code — has the resources they need to thrive.
I am proud to be part of Educators for Jordan, a new coalition of teachers and school staff from every corner of the state. We’re joining the growing movement of Mainers who believe Jordan will stand up for working families and put our kids’ futures ahead of special interests.
Our kids can’t wait for better leadership. They deserve someone who will listen to educators and work every day to give them the future they deserve. That’s why I’m voting for Jordan Wood, and why I hope you will too.
