MECHANIC FALLS — Calling all country Music Fans! You’re invited to the Maine Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum “FIRST EVER TAG SALE.” Vintage treasures including guitars, musical instruments, vinyl and digital recordings, outfits, clothing, boots, artwork and more from our legendary Hall of Fame members will be for sale.
The “FIRST EVER TAG SALE” will take place at the Hall of Fame Museum on Saturday, Sept. 6 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., located in the lower level of The Silver Spur, 272 Lewiston St, (Routes 11 & 121) Mechanic Falls. Open rain or shine. All proceeds from this one-day sale will benefit the Maine Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum.The public is welcome. The museum is wheelchair accessible and ample free parking is available onsite.
Featured Hall of Fame member items for sale include a Dick Curless easy chair; boots, clothing or outfits from Rusty Rogers, Bing and Nancy Crosby, Paul Main, Phil LaClaire and others; Slim Sullivan’s guitar; and beautiful artwork by Ken Brooks and Yodelin’ Slim Clark. There are also an accordion, an old-fashioned portable organ and a wide array of guitars. Browse a large selection of vintage and new recordings in digital, cassette and vinyl formats (78, 45 and 33 rpm). Official Maine Country Music Hall of Fame t-shirts, mugs and bumper stickers will also be for sale.
The Maine Country Music Hall of Fame was founded in 1978. The Museum, established in 2008, is the only country music hall of fame physical museum east of Nashville. The 3,000-square foot space in the lower level of The Silver Spur is a treasure trove of hundreds of historic Maine country music memorabilia gifted over the decades by Hall of Fame members and their heirs, bringing to life and preserving the legacy of over 175 Hall of Famers from the State of Maine.
