Hallmark’s holiday season seems to be getting an earlier and earlier start every year — and no, fans aren’t complaining.
Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story was the first project announced in March, which will follow in the footsteps of 2024’s Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story by bringing another NFL team into the Hallmark Christmas spotlight.
Four months later, Hallmark Media celebrated “Christmas in July” and announced multiple movies and TV shows that will be part of the 16th annual “Countdown to Christmas” lineup later this year.
While the network didn’t reveal when “Countdown to Christmas” will begin (October 2024 marked the start last season), Hallmark did reveal that A Newport Christmas and a third Three Wise Men movie would be part of the seasonal content.

‘A Grand Ole Opry Christmas’
Stars: Nikki DeLoach and Kristoffer Polaha with Brad Paisley to write and perform original music for the film
Logline: “Gentry Woods (DeLoach), daughter of late country music icon Jett Woods — half of the famed duo Winter and Woods — abandoned her dream of a songwriting career and distanced herself from her father’s legacy following his tragic car accident 30 years prior. When the Grand Ole Opry invites her to represent Jett at their centennial celebration at Christmas, she’s hesitant to return to the place steeped in bittersweet memories. Encouraged by her good friends, Gentry visits the Opry and, while seated in one of the vaunted venue’s oak church pews, is suddenly transported to 1995. Gentry’s lifelong friend Mac (Polaha), a country music talent manager, finds himself in 1995 as well. Thanks to some Christmas magic, Gentry gets precious time with her father, creative inspiration to finish the song she began decades earlier as a teen and learns surprising answers to questions about her father that have followed her for the last three decades.”

‘A Newport Christmas’

Logline: “Ella (Mason), a charitable and spirited socialite from 1905, is transplanted to 2025 after heading out on her schooner one night. In the modern day she encounters Nick (Brown), a sailor and local Newport historian, who must help Ella return to the past in time for the Christmas Eve ball before her existence is erased, changing the course of the town’s history. Complicating Ella and Nick’s already daunting task is the romance that’s blossoming between them.”

Logline: “When a workaholic CEO (Krakow) tries to skip Christmas by flying to Australia, she’s in for the flight of her life. With the help of three quirky spirits and a surprise reunion with her ex (Hynes), she might just rediscover the magic of Christmas — and the love she thought she’d lost.”

‘Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story’
Stars: Holland Roden and Matthew Daddario
Logline: “Pediatric doctor Morgan Quinn (Roden) and the Bills’ VP of Stadium Development Gabe DeLuca (Daddario) have always been close friends, but Gabe has always held a torch for her — a fact obvious to their families and everyone else who crosses their path. When Morgan learns from her Uncle Tommy (Joe Pantoliano) that someone anonymously helped her family get by after he was drafted more than 60 years ago — and that he continues to receive a Christmas gift each year to this day — she decides to find his benefactor and give her uncle a Christmas he’ll always remember.” Gabe will eventually step in and use his connections with the Bills “to pull off the surprise of a lifetime for Morgan and both their families that will make this a Christmas they’ll never forget.”

‘She’s Making a List’
Stars: Lacey Chabert and Andrew Walker
Logline: Naughty or Nice inspector Isabel (Chabert) is “assigned to evaluate mischievous 11-year-old Charlie Duncan [but] things get complicated when Isabel unexpectedly falls for Charlie’s widowed father, Jason Duncan (Walker), and begins to question the rigid rules of her job,” per the synopsis. “As Christmas approaches, Isabel must choose between following the holiday algorithm or following her heart.”

New ‘Three Wise Men’ Movie
Stars: Paul Campbell, Tyler Hynes and Andrew Walker
Logline: The plot of the third installment in the holiday franchise has yet to be revealed. All three main actors, who play the Brenner brothers, were confirmed in July to be part of the new movie.
