
Maine State Police on Monday identified the victim of a fatal weekend crash as Nicholas Disy, 52, of Milford, Pennsylvania.
Just after 4 p.m. Sunday, police received multiple reports of a fire on the southbound side of Interstate 295 at mile 37 in the town of Bowdoinham.
Based on a preliminary investigation, Maine State Police believe Disy was traveling southbound at high speed when his vehicle went into the median, hit several trees and caught fire.
Disy was the sole occupant of the vehicle and no other vehicles were involved, according to police.
Maine State Police are asking any witnesses to the crash to call the agency at 207-624-7076.
