BANGOR — Since 1972, the Maine Sports Hall of Fame has honored and memorialized the outstanding athletes and contributors who have brought distinction and honor to Maine while also bestowing awards and scholarships to the Maine high school athletes of today.
This year’s induction ceremony is set for Sunday, Sept. 21 at 2 p.m. in the Gracie Theatre on the campus of Husson University. The event will be recorded and broadcast later on Maine Public Television.
The 2025 inductees are Bryant Barr (Falmouth, basketball), Clara Brown (Cumberland, paracycling), Warren Caruso (Bangor, basketball), Jamie Cook (Kennebunk, track & field), Dajuan Eubanks (Portland, basketball), Kelly Bowman Flagg (Newport, basketball), Lynn Hersey (Dexter, basketball), Jesse Labreck (Oakland, track & field), Larry Mahoney (Bangor, sportswriting) and Danny Paul (Portland, track & field).
Scholar-athletes from Maine high schools will also be recognized as part of the event for their scholastic
aptitude, athletic performance and leadership qualities. Norway Savings Bank has been happy to support the Maine Sports Hall of Fame for years, including a $1,000 donation ahead of the 2025 induction ceremony.
