A four-year-old boy has died after being struck by a bus outside a hospital in Kent.
Kent Police say the incident happened outside Queen Elizabeth, Queen Mother Hospital in Margate at around 4pm on Thursday.
Officers say the bus, a white single-decker vehicle, was travelling near the entrance to the A&E department when the boy left the hospital on foot and was struck.
The child was taken inside the hospital but died shortly after.
His next of kin has been informed.
Investigators from Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit are urging anyone with relevant information to come forward.
Witnesses, including passengers travelling on the bus who have not yet spoken to the police, are urged to contact the police.
