Most of us agree that there is too much violence in the world today. What people can do to other members of the human race many times defies decency and the most basic of rules: “Do unto others.”
It was with disbelief that I read in the Aug. 5 BDN that the dart “game” at the Republican booth at the Union Fair actually has Governor Mills’s name on it. To fire a gun, be it a nerf gun or a 35 mm, at what is representing not only another human being, but an elected official is, I believe, beyond anything remotely resembling a “game.” It is setting a very low bar for acceptable behavior.
What in the world do they think they are teaching the children?
