
Police are looking for a man who robbed a Bangor Savings Bank branch at 1071 Brighton Ave. in Portland on Saturday morning.
Portland police said they received a call about the robbery at 9:32 a.m.
The suspect, described as about 5-foot-8 with a stocky build, was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, green pants, navy blue shoes, blue gloves, a mask and sunglasses. He escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash and fled into a wooded area behind the building.
Police said no weapon was seen during the robbery.
Maine State Police and Westbrook police assisted with police dogs and searched the area for several hours, but the suspect was not found, according to a press release.
