The water will be shut off to residences on a number of streets between the Bangor Police Department and the Bangor Waterfront starting Thursday evening.
According to the Bangor Water District, the shutdowns come as officials start to replace aging infrastructure in the area. Water access is expected to be shut down for around eight hours, starting around 8 p.m. Thursday evening.
Addresses on Cedar, May, Pleasant, South and Summer streets, along with 16 through 20 Union St. and 193 Broad St. will be impacted by the shutoff.
Other shutdowns in the area are planned for later this summer. For more information, contact the Bangor Water District at 207-947-4516.
