A man on the run from authorities in Massachusetts was arrested in Bangor on Tuesday evening.
Jameel T. Clark-White was wanted for drug possession, possession of a machine gun, possession of a large-capacity firearm, carrying a loaded firearm without a license, firearm violation with prior violent drug crimes, carrying a firearm on school grounds, receiving stolen property, leaving the scene of a property damage accident and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.
Clark-White was out on bond from Middlesex County for charges of robbery, carjacking, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery with a firearm, cocaine trafficking, fentanyl trafficking, carrying a firearm without a license, and possession of a firearm with a large-capacity magazine.
Those charges were related to two separate shootings in Cambridge in 2021 and 2023, the media outlet Patch reported.
The new charges were filed in Wrentham District Court.
U.S. marshals tracked Clark-White to Maine, where they believed he was staying with associates. The marshals searched the Orrington, Brewer and Bangor before eventually tracking down his location in the Queen City, the U.S. Marshals Service said Wednesday morning.
After he left the residence and got into a vehicle Tuesday evening, officers pulled it over and arrested him.
He was charged as being a fugitive from justice. While at the Penobscot County Jail, officers found drugs on Clark-White, leading to charges of drug trafficking and trafficking in prison contraband.
Clark-White remained at the jail Wednesday morning.
