Rosie O’Donnell’s daughter Chelsea O’Donnell was praised for her progress in court-ordered treatment, over six months after her arrest for child neglect and various drug charges, Us Weekly can exclusively report.

According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly, Chelsea, who was sentenced to six years’ probation in March, appeared in court for an update in her case on July 8. The court heard about Chelsea’s progress and congratulated her on her hard work.

Last month, Chelsea, 27, appeared in court three times for progress updates. At one hearing, the court noted Chelsea had “positive” progress and even heard her tell them about a recent “children get together.” The court docket also revealed Chelsea told the court about her plan to get her GED.

Chelsea was also ordered to pay $230 a month in child support for her son, Atlas, which will terminate upon completion of her participation in the Drug Court program. The father of Atlas, Jacob Nelund, will pay $324.

In documents dated April 1, the judge noted that Chelsea and Jacob’s child was “currently in out-of-home placement, according to a referral from Marinette County Department of Health and Human Services.”

The order stated, “Upon reunification of the child with a parent, current child support shall end for the parent with placement effective the first day of the first month following the change in placement.”

Further, the court ordered that if Chelsea is unemployed or underemployed or not making the court ordered child support payments, she is required to register with the local job center, perform 10 work searches per week and provide proof of her job hunt.

Rosie’s daughter was first arrested on September 10 after cops discovered her baby inside a Wisconsin home filled with drug paraphernalia.

Rosie O’Donnell Shares Update on Daughter Chelsea’s Sobriety Journey

The report read, “Inside the bedroom belonging to Chelsea, where [Atlas] was initially found, there was a meth pipe, a gem bag with methamphetamine inside, a marijuana grinder, and another container with marijuana shake in it.”

She pleaded not guilty to the child neglect and drug charges.

The legal trouble didn’t stop there. Chelsea was arrested again on October 11, and then a third time on November 18, both for drug-related offenses.

During questioning in her last arrest, Chelsea told officers she wanted help for her issues. She said she planned to enter an intensive outpatient treatment facility and hoped to get clean.

The judge ordered Chelsea to serve the probation time, complete a high school diploma or GED and submit to a mental health exam.

Aside from Atlas, Chelsea has three daughters with her ex-boyfriend Jacob Bourassa: Skylar Rose, Riley and Avery Lynn.

On top of that, Chelsea filed to remove her famous mother’s last name. In January, Chelsea requested her legal name Chelsea Belle O’Donnell be changed to Chelsea Belle Neuens.

Daily Mail reported that Neuens was the maiden name for Chelsea’s birth mother, Deanna Micoley. However, she canceled the request due to “family issues” and told the court “I will not be changing my last name.”

After her initial arrest, Rosie spoke out about Chelsea, who she has been estranged from off and on over the years.

Rosie and her family said, “Sadly, this is not new for our family. Chelsea has struggled with drug addiction for a decade — we are all hopeful she will find her way out of this deadly disease.”

On May 13, Rosie posted a photo of Chelsea on social media captioned, “another great day in sobriety.”
